Hey everyone, I had a few questions regarding Railworks 2012 and would be very appreciative if anyone can help me in the right direction. Mind you that most of these questions are being asked simply because while my new computer can run Railworks 2012 with the graphics almost set to the max, turning on TSX just kills the FPS and while it will still run alright, I don't see the sacrifice to be worth it. Especially when I can have shadows turned on, and MLAA + MSAA x 4 to boot!
1. Will the superelevation feature work properly if TSX is turned off? (can you even run a route like Horseshoe Curve without TSX turned on or will you have issues?)
2. I know that there is a retailer out there selling an upgrade for all of the default locos (i.e: lighting, cab views, etc.) but is there any lighting upgrade for some of the default engines that is free? For instance, the stock SD40-2 headlights when turned on go from being almost balckish gray in color to light silver when turned on...Hardly realistic IMHO.
3. Does anyone know if anything is in the works to improve the FPS with the TSX technology? I know about the 300 beta testers needed and all that, but I wasn't sure if anyone else has heard anything yet.
4. On the subject of superelevation, other than Donner Pass and HSC route, are there any other routes that feature this?
Thanks everyone. I hope that I didn't just ask questions that are merely one page away from here, but I did do a search for these questions. Thanks everyone!
**Oh, and by the way, for anyone who may care to know, I can manage up to 20-25 FPS in areas with moderate scenery with TSX on and the graphics set on medium....This being on a laptop with an Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics card!!!!**
