I have almost finished the rolling stock upgrade, though I want to add snow effects. There will also be a snow effects pack for the RS3s

Good stuff, did you get all the animations functioning in the end?

I always found trying to declare sealed food was a fast track through US customs...

Yes, technically the wings could be called animated. They move out in four stages with the M key and back again with the Shift M keys. Not smoothly but I plan to release this as it is now and revisit it for smoother flapping wings later.

Next thing is to inset the suggestion of randomness in the snow thrown up by the plow. Back to scripting I think. Now that is a point does lua script recognise rand or random or something like that??

It's math.random( number, optional second number ) - put a 2nd one in if tou want a range, otherwise it's just 1-number.

OK so if I put x == math.random( 5 , 15) does that mean I will get 1, 2 or 3 for x or 5, 10 or 15?

You'd get true or false in that particular example ;)

math.random( 5, 15 ) will get a number between 5 and 15.

!*hp*! I have just got the pig joke!!!!! !DUH! "sow effects!!!" Well you can't say I am a boar on this subject !*YAAA*!

Thanks Kali for your random answer *!lol!*

so then math.random(1) will give a number between 1 and infinity.

I think math.random(1) returns 1 ( a random number between 1 and 1! ).

Do I spy a bloody nose RSD5? If you wish to Dick, you can use my SP MW skin as an alternate model when you release the plo(w)/(ugh). If you want, I'll upload it to you

Mike that would be a good idea.

I have been doing all my testing with the MP15DC. To get this thing to work there has to be a lot of editing in the engine bin file a specialised lua file for both the loco and the plow AND a modified InputMapper file. The loco you see is actually an RS3 using a modified version of your RSD5 textures.

I want to release this as freeware snow clearing set with a specialised loco and plow. I intended to use my freeware RS3 therefore could I use your SP textures for the RS3 and for the plow.

OK, go ahead. The Russell skin .psd is here: http://mdroaming.home.comcast.net/russell-plow.psd. If you would prefer a .dds file, or another format, let me know.

I know it's rivet counting, but the SP didn't have any RS3s. However the Cotton Belt did, and I did do a 'bloody nose' CB RS3.
