Michael's NS Local Duties Scenarios

I finally got around to running the NS Local Duties Scenarios for Bay of Quinte. I have run into a problem that I can't get around in the NS Local 2 scenario. After I build my consist and take it to Lafarge Cement to load the hoppers, I find only an unloading point at Dry Goods Delivery.

Looking at the map, it would seem that the train should be going to the gravel pit to load and not the cement plant. However, I cannot open the scenario in the either editor to change the loading points. (I get the dreaded SBHH) Does anyone have a version of scenario 2 with the proper loading destinations?

Hmm. I do, but I've also swapped my own stock in :(. I suspect I rebuilt the scenario from scratch - but maybe RWTools can swap a destination?

Thanks. for the reply. If there's a way for RW-Tools to swap a destination, I haven't found it. Is there anyway you can get me a copy of the scenario? I can always swap out any rolling stock I don't have.

I have a problem with #3 also, RW3 is giving me "no route to destination" to the marker up by the chemical plant...

Hi,

I must admit I haven't checked these scenarios in quite a while. It's strange though, I think these were all running fine back when I uploaded them. Have there been any changes to the route published somewhere since I wrote these scenarios? That missing transfer point is quite odd, even though it's been a while I do remember loading these hoppers (at the gravel pit) when testing the scenarios.

I'll try to sort these out, but I can't promise anything at this point. Some of my old scenario have been pretty tough to edit so far. Like some of the ATSF Cajon Pass scenarios always cause crashes now, even though I can't find any missing or broken consists/equipment. I have yet to understand what the RW3 update exactly did to old scenarios. Some work, some don't, and I haven't seen any pattern in it yet.

I don't know what happened with the third one either; I know it worked before because I've run it a couple of times and now it's failing. I've dug up my original copy so I'll try that in case I broke it myself somehow. I don't think the route's been changed in a year and a half... I've rw3-ized my tracks.bin, but that was after trying the scenario. I've had problems with other scenarios I've written though, so it's not just you or the route.

They've been enough inspiration that I'm trying to work out some system for building my own ( and as usual I'll probably massively overcomplicate them ), I just need to work out what the right sort of stock is first :p think we could do with a higher detail tank car too, that old one is looking a bit angular in the tank area...

Thanks Michael, I know there's a lot on your plate right now and I appreciate any time you take to look into this. I've downloaded the NS Local pack from RWA, Train Sim and your site and they all have scenario 2 trying to load at the cement plant. I would fix it myself, but for some reason I can run the scenario but not edit it. RW gets soooo frustrating some times. Bay is such a good route and there are so few scenarios for it. Hope you have better luck than I have in getting the editor to work.
