Vanishing route?

Unread postby Toripony » Sun Oct 09, 2011 11:29 pm

Has anyone had trouble with your own or 3rd party routes disappearing from your route selection panel in TS'12? Yesterday, using the "Clone Route" function I made a new copy of the Alleghany and was playing with sky settings... today I went to load it and it's not in the route selection list. The route folder/files are still intact; have checked it with RWT but it will not make an appearance in the selection list. This is actually the second time this has happened to me (with the Alleghany route) since the TS'12 upgrade. When I initially upgraded, I installed my route and it vanished from the route selection panel the next day. In that case, I reinstalled the route .rwp and it appeared again. This time my original copy is still fine and all other routes are showing in the list, just not this new one. Since I cannot reinstall it, my previous fix won't work.

I could (and will) simply make a new copy but I'm looking for any suggestions or feedback on if this is a TS bug or something I'm doing wrong.

Hi Tori,
No problem on my end. My route, plus all of my freeware routes, default routes and DLC routes are still listed and selectable. Have you checked your hard drive for errors with a utility like scandisk?

Regards,
Rich S.

No problems with my WIP route.

The only problem that I had after the upgrade was that the numbering of my scenarios didn't work anymore.
I have freeroams at different locations along the route to make it easier to work on it.
To represent the order of locations from south to north (along the line), I numbered them 01, 02,...,10.
In TS 2012 it only works this way now: 1,2,...,10

No hard drive problems; nothing has disappeared except for these two rare events. I made another copy yesterday to experiment with and as I expected it's still there today, so I guess it was just one of those flukey things that computers do. !*don-know!*

THANKS!
