You should have the CSX logo on the left side of the template. That's where the nose is. Currently, it's on the roof of the cab. You also need to put the CSX logo on backwards like this:

Other than that it looks good so far. !!*ok*!!

Nice work; looks great. Will it be posted here at RWA?

I have a curiosity question for the repainters... why are there so few repaints of the ES44's compared to SD40's? I have about 30-40 CSX family (C&O, B&O, WM, Chessie, etc.) repaints of the SD40-2 but only 3 or 4 of the ES44ac. !*don-know!*

That looks very nice. Super slick job you have done with that.
Keep up the great work.

Here you can see the changes I made on the texture sheets:

Thanks; I just wanted to see if I could help. I dont know how to fix the number font and I'm pretty sure B737lvr is working on that right now based on the other thread in the freeware section. The three texture sheets I posted are .png's so they shouldn't lose much quality once downloaded and converted back to RW format should work as is. There's only one spot I'm not happy with, and thats the right stanchion on the front (and back left, since it uses the same texture), because some yellow wraps around from the back side of it. I looked all over and couldnt find the offending texture.

Well, to me the short answer would be era. EMD produced the SD40-2 from 1972 to 1989, while GE didn't start building ES44's until around 2003. The ES44 wans't around until the CSX era.

Yeah it is a real pain to repaint it because the textures aren't very repaint friendly. But new templates wouldn't help really. RSC would need to redo the textures and the way they're mapped onto the locomotive to make it easier.

That's why I asked... figured it was something like that. Even the 4 CSX units I have show signs of repainting issues. But, even if they aren't perfect it would sure be nice to have a bigger variety to place in Alleghany scenarios. They are quite common here in lashups of 2-3, but meeting 3 or 4 trains with the same 4 locos during a mainline run gets stupid really quick.

Maybe it would be something a novice might want to try since some errors would be so easily excused due to the problem textures. Put some dirt, worn paint, and graffiti on them to hide the flaws. !*don-know!*
