NEC Fix

Unread postby gtw5812 » Tue Sep 27, 2011 9:57 am

Since I am new, (recently coming over from MSTS), I do not know where to ask this, but here it goes. I have tweeked the sim...worked with the graphics, and can finally run some trains..mostly on the Cajon route and Horseshoe Curve. My question to the Railworks folks...or anyone that may know is....

"When are they going to patch fix the NEC route?? I don't mean all the effects...rain...shadows...wipers.... I mean, couplers....so a person can at least, get a train over the road."

In the last 2-3 weeks, I came over from MSTS. Since then I have purchased the NEC, Portland Terminal, Ohio Steel, CN Wide Nose, G-Trax Steam Mega Pack, G-Trax Passenger Car Pack, BNSF Add-on Pack, Trains and Drivers NEC add on, Footforward Big Boy add-on senarios, The original Railworks 2 game..and God knows what else. I was really enjoying them all...and now...I can play only 2 US routes, with decent FPS, and most everything causes troubles, or does not perform at the level it use too. I sure would like to at least get a train over the road on the NEC. If anyone has an answer to this, I would love to hear it. I do not need all the "fancy stuff". I would just like a train to stay together for the entire trip.

Best Regards,
Galen

A fix is in the works right now; could be released any day now; hang in there.

some folks have had success with a temp solution for the couplers:

in the Editor re-check the box next to Kuju/RailSimulator

I appreciate it..however, I have done all this, plus more..to no avail. This is a coupler issue. Also, the AEM-7, at some points, bounces on the track, like a Mack dump truck, in a gravel pit. This is all very disappointing. I would have rather waited for a "complete" upgrade to come out, then to have a "partial product" come out, and have to trouble shoot it. I am a big fan of payware...it usually comes with little or no problems. This on the other hand, ahs brought my full operationl RW2, to approximately a 20 percent playable RW3.... It isn't right when I sunk about $250 total for me and my son to play it.

Just My Ramblings...

You know, just as an afterthought...maybe the folks at Railsimulator should offer a "rollback" to RW2. Then they could offer a survey, get the average stats of a player's computer, and update accordingly. Not everyone has a "race car on the information super-highway" here. They have access to the platform they wish to produce, and then they could update the DLC as well, and reintroduce it all...at one time to the community. I have looked all over the forums, and it seems that the majority of the users are highly upset...and I won't even mention their Facebook page...Holy cow!

More Ramblings...
