I have a blog on Amtrak for Railworks. Check it out! I will bring the latest information from developers on Amtrak for RW2.

Is there going to be a passenger view tom. I would hate to have a great piece of work not have a great PV. My viewers must know lol!

Hey guys, I come seeking assistance, here are a few screens as payment. :D

Above are the Amcoach and Amcafe carriages which are close to completion now. The problem is the remaining carriage, the AmClub which we're struggling to find much information on. What we need really is a seating formation, or a photo that shows this. Do they have a snack bar component in the centre? Anything which might be helpful, will more than likely be so. !!*ok*!!

Awesome Tom. !!*ok*!!

Even Amclubs. !*brav*!
Wikipedia: "...Amclub cars that had either 6 tables or 23 coach seats, a snack bar in the middle, and 18 Club seats. The Club seats were more spacious and usually required an upgrade to Business Class or other deluxe service. Some cars also were in a full club layout, with Business Class seats at both ends."

All I found:

-old ad: http://www.amtrak40th.com/archives/introducing-amclub
-70s Amclub interior (I think these are the club seats): http://www.amtrak40th.com/archives/amclub-interior-from-1970s
-the Amfleet I roster features some Amclub pics: http://www.trainweb.org/amtrakpix/locoshots/amfleet1cafe/AMFLEET1CAFE.html
-another roster: http://myweb.msoe.edu/~westr/amfleet.htm

Sorry, couldn't find more or any layout.

Wait a second if by Amclub you mean Cafe car or just the amclub. Looking at the picture I think you mean just the Cafe car. The club car is something different.

Its very disappointing to know that all the time spent on the route. It would take less time to build a nice Passenger view for these cars. All the diagrams and photos & videos people posted should be more than enough to get something. It feels like I'm driving a high speed freight train that loads passengers onto cars with doors. I don't get the feel i'm in or driving a Passenger train. Not cool dude!

If this is the trend RSC follows with Passenger Trains than NEC is my last DLC in this category. If it sounds like i'm ranting, all well I have a right to rant because this has been a re-occurrence time and time again.

A proper high quality passenger view requires extra modeling and a lot of it. It is like building a new cab. Time and money I am sure they didn't have. Last time I checked, they also never promised a passenger view, so it shouldn't be a surprise it didn't.

You can make your own passenger view using the low quality interior you get now. I've done it on numerous trains. If RSC did this method though people would complain it is low quality. RSC can never win in some cases. You got a 90 mile route and rolling stock for $11 more then just an engine pack usually costs. Is lack of a passenger view really worth ranting over?

Put it this way, If you are done with the route & all the scenarios and its about a month down the road. Wouldn't you get bored of driving from the cab all the time? Would you not want to drive from a different perspective other than A Cab? Come one, I can slap 5 Cement Cars to an AEM-7 with doors and call it a A regional Passenger Train? I doubt it plus it would be very weird. The point is that you want each train to have a different feel to it. When I was beta testing the Superliners I felt like I was on an overnight train with very rude people sitting next to me. That feel and experience is something you want to convey that makes it long-Lasting.

I have no complainants about anything else but these cars.

Lord Mannu isn't on RSC's payroll or their schedule and they were in production long long long before the NEC was ever announced. Just a weeeee bit of a head start all on his own watch.

You think Tom finished these and went to the pub for a month and a half doing nothing? Or did he meet his given time constraint and immediately move on to another project assigned to him?

I think you are overreacting in my opinion. Never buying of this kind of content again because you can't sit inside a fake passenger car?

I dunno about y'all, but I can't drive from a passenger seat. !*roll-laugh*!

I do love the free cam view, but most times it's cab view or free cam. Passenger view is not a deal breaker for me. !*salute*!

If that decision was a topic at a production meeting I attended, given the circumstances, I would probably have agreed, let the U.S. addon content makers develop an upgrade view modd. It's likely they have ridden in these cars themselves. !!*ok*!!

Leaving opportunities for improvement is not necessarily a bad thing.
