File Library Packaging Utility

Unread postby bh762 » Fri Dec 19, 2025 10:20 am

I'm looking for a few people to test a little program I've made. This is a utility for packaging assets for upload to the file library. It allows the user to simply pick the asset's folder, choose how geopcdx files should be handled, fill in a few boxes for the readme and choose a thumbnail and screenshots. When it builds the package it auto generates the readme, resizes the thumbnail and screenshots, properly names everything, and excludes geo files if payware dependencies are declared. Also, if there is a payware dependency it includes instructions in the readme on where and what to copy and paste but also will include a geo_helper.exe that scans the end users railworks install for the geo files and does the copying and pasting for them. The end result should be a quicker, easier way package assets that is compliant with the upload requirements of the file library. I need a few people to test this and look for problems/improvements, if anyone is interested in testing this out just dm me and I'll send you the github link. Thanks.
