Happy birthday to Walter Jaeschke (Krellnut) one of our most famous members known far and wide for his great wagon sounds D/L almost 18,000 times not counting all of the addon off shoots to use them on various routes.
Have a great day Wally! !*YAAA*! and *!!thnx!!* for one of the best of the best of the things adding to realism for the sim.

Thank you for the well wishes. Still remember going out to record the sounds, that was great fun. I love reading so if no train, read until one showed up. There was a spot outside of town where trains would sit for various reasons. I would then talk to the engineer to let him know what I needed and also to let them know I would be following them.
I remember one time before I started talking to the engineer I was following the lead loco and they took pictures of me. Within ten minutes four CN police converged on me. Once they saw what I was doing, I was let go. After that though, one policeman started checking to let me know if there were lots of trains passing through that day. Some days there would be virtually no traffic, so he was really helpful. Great memories.

Happy Birthday Walter. Thank you for the lovely sounds, and for sharing the insight into their recording process. I am sorry for the belated birthday wishes, I was out with a train (with heavyweight Pullmans) all day yesterday. I hope your birthday was splendid.
