I am really interested in the route, so I will get it. I am going home for the weekend and will probably grab my PRR track Charts for the Middle Division and a few other items to bring back.

Where do you find Conway? What route is it with?

Think it's the P&LE that has Conway.

Chock wrote:I'll be happy to pay the additional cost for this route, and not only because it happens to be in my particular area of interest for US railroading, I would buy it anyway in order to support the company since they are banging out the upgrade for free. We are getting a lot of bang for no bucks whatsoever with that upgrade, and whilst it is true that the upgrade is in a sense the carrot/stick platform for further add-ons, thus economically viable to knock out for free, I still want to show appreciation for the work they've put in because it would have been easy for them to stay with the present 3D engine and graphics and milk that for all it was worth, but instead the new engine demonstrates a commitment to wanting a quality product that will improve the actual notion of simulating driving a train. The fact that it is a route I'd particularly want is of course a big plus for me, but I would have bought it anyway.

Excellent post - it is amazing what you learn and the places you learn it from :D

Also, since the new engine supports multiple cores, larger routes and yards than what is practical with RW2 should work with the new version.

Railsimulator on Facebook:
"EMERGENCY! FIRE AT ROSE TOWER! It's all getting a bit hectic in Train Simulator 2012, there's not a moment to lose!"

I made a little research and found out that there was a "Rose Tower" in the Altoona area and that it burned down in '53.

With this evidence, I believe we can remove the (?) from the title of this thread.

Sounds like we got a pretty specific time period confirmation too

If it is set in 1953, then even if they don't give us any steam there should be plenty of steam servicing facilities still around.

Don

If everyone feels the evidence is overwhelming, near positive, I guess I could remove the question mark.
