I second that. Realism is wonderful in the sim however there is a lot of the time when the great ultra- realistic locomotives are just way too fiddly to be running when trying to do route building or testing other stuff. When I'm running a route to try to enjoy a scenario or maybe even just the scenery and ambiance the last thing I want is some super complicated realistic setup that takes me fifteen minutes before I can get the thing to move and further have to keep messing with stuff just to keep going.

In no way am I trying to start a debate, just one person's opinion about a little bit of different strokes for different folks and non of us have the holy grail. We need more of stuff that inspires us instead nit picking stuff that certain people thinks doesn't fit THEIR vision of what we are looking for.

I agree with what EngineerTJ and AmericanSteam are saying, but I think that discussion should just be taken elsewhere.

Check with SS next week. They should be up for sale again.

They just shut down the sale of the SD70 while they sort some problems out.

Has the Forum Team considered downloading the UKTransim packs needed for this route ? I think that site might be closing down soon.

Searchlight announced a few minutes ago that the release bugs were fixed for the ACU. The patches are on their website.

How dare they put this premium priced product out there without Proper QA? What's wrong with these people? Don't they care? Are they just out there to make money?

Oh my bad it's not DTG or DTM so it's OK. !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*! !!**sorry**!!

This is a joke for all of you that need to be told.

ACU is back up for sale, seems they’ve ironed out some of the issues.

I’m sorry, but why exactly does this matter currently? Nobody right now has said anything to warrant such a response like that, no offense. Like seriously the problem wasn’t even related to the game, it was because of how many people wanted to buy it and it overloaded their site and the drm wasn’t working.

Do you even intend on buying it anyway? (Just out of curiosity’s sake).

I was just checking to see who might just lack a tad of a sense of humor and taking a cheap shot at another forum who definitely has members who lack said humor. Please don't be offended.

And BTW I buy almost everything that comes out for North American railroading since I want to encourage all these creative folks to keep making stuff for our great hobby.

So do I except for closed routes such as LIRR in which I have no interest but recognise others do.
