U25 Pack

Unread postby RudiJaeger » Wed Mar 29, 2023 11:02 am

DTM is working on a U25 Pack (both B and C versions), plus freight cars and a caboose. Progress details and pics (BN, CB&Q) can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/Digitaltrainmodel/

Being an NP fan, I noticed the CB&Q version looks pretty close to what the NP had (markings locations), although the BN version has the correct headlamp; so if we don't ultimately see an NP version, I may have to consider getting back into the paintshop. Of course there are others roads that used these, so I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities for repainters to get additional roads into the mix.

I hope it's okay to post a couple of teasers from the Facebook page; I didn't want to post and not include any pics:

I'm thankful that DTM is driving on with production of new products. I think the texture work and weathering has also been turned up a notch; nice job!. Looking forward to the purchase !!*ok*!!

I expect there will be a number of repaints for this although the position of the loco numbers may need non dynamic numbering for some roads but - heigh ho!

From what I've heard, they have plans do to all roads under the BNSF family tree that have had U25s of some kind.

Nice! I saw mention of adding the GN herald to it's cab sides and including a Big Sky blue version. I don't have a Facebook account; perhaps someone who does, could politely suggest including a plow ...at least for the NP, GN, BN versions. I know it's still a WIP, so perhaps it's already in the plans. Some plow versions would lend nicely for doing some additional regional repaints that featured them; Milwaukee Road for example.

t's actually one of those pressure slide hopper cars. Though I can get why you'd think its a tankcar as there's designs with the same "whale belly".
