Route packs with unique industrial assets

Unread postby pkz19 » Wed Mar 01, 2023 5:05 pm

Are there are any route packs, US or foreign, with interesting unique industrial assets? For instance, the Salt Lake City Extension has the blast furnaces that I am using for my remake of the Industrial Interactive Route into a steel mill route, and I don't think those furnaces exist in any other routes. I think I have most of the community asset packs (RCAP, John Lippai's NRD pack) but if there are others people would recommend, please let me know!

Aimed mostly at a more general British industrial theme than American, but the GAD Pre-WWII Asset Pack has some good items you might be able to put to use somewhere: https://www.golden-age-developments.co.uk/assets.html

I usually have no need for content that is not North American, but there are some great assets available on that site. Good suggestion.

Hi,

Many North American routes have heavy industries of many different types. Two of the best are even freeware:

-- Bessemer & Lake Erie ("Pennsylvania Steam", right here in the file library!) -- many steam era heavy industry models, particularly for the coal-ore-steel industry chains

-- Portland Terminal ("Maine Maritime", right here in the file library!) -- countless docks and harbor related assets, plus many light industry and urban scenery models

Many useful assets also come with backdated Stevens Pass ("GN Cascadian", available right here at RWA and all proceeds go directly to RWA!) which includes a solid set of lumber industry related assets and generally a large collection light industrial and urban assets.

Cheers,
Michael

Thanks Mike! I am actually heavily using B&LE and Maine Maritime assets to build my steel mill conversion of your Industrial Interactive Route. I did purchase the RWA original route but I didn't get the Cascadian, I will add it to my collection!
