Here is my WIP repaint of the nice C424 from Diesel Workshop to Monon, a special request from a RWA member. I want to take this opportunity to thank Buzz456 who helped me greatly for this project! !!*ok*!!

Now that's cool right out of the blue. You don't see much Monon stuff in TS. !*drool*!

Can't wait to see how you handled the texture files...

It looks absolutely splendid and as mentioned we do not get to see much Monon stuff. Hopefully many people will get to enjoy this. You truly are the master of the Century texture file.

You're welcome Jean but it is you who had the patience to ferret out all the bits and pieces to get this thing done.

You should consider making a tutorial about how you're doing these repaints! I know there are other tutorials and manuals out there, but it seems like this is an especially tricky one to repaint

I agree with you Buzz but without you I couldn't finish it so... !!*ok*!! To pkz19, It doesn't seem, this is an especially tricky one to repaint because everything is in 3D, even each nut and bolt and all is mixed up. So I wonder who should need a tutorial to explain one simple thing, be very, very patient!!! !*cheers*!

Isn't there some script editing involved? I'm getting ok at the actual painting.

Ahhh,
But what's rote to one man turns rotten in the hands of a neophyte such as myself. I need tutorials because I can't remember how I did it last week. Decent tutorials guide you through what can be a maddening process. !*hp*!
If I better understood the voodoo involved I'd do one.
Give me route editing any day over repaints. I'm in awe of you who do it so well.

Not sure if one calls it script editing but you have to use decals for covering the sides of the DW locos otherwise It's almost impossible to add stripes or big logos. And for the rest, be patient *!greengrin!*

Buzz did send me a tutorial on that, I need to sit down and really go through it a few times. But I'm a visual learner so it'd be great to see someone going through the process in real time.

So is the tan stripe on the Monon unit a decal or is it painted?
So is the tan stripe on the Monon unit a decal or is it painted?
It's painted on the decal file and then you have to match it at the right location.

That's exactly what I need to learn how to do.

Has anyone done a tutorial on creating decals such as this?
