SERZ Convert location

Unread postby miata54 » Sat May 07, 2022 12:59 pm

I am a bit confused here as to the title of the second option, "Convert location". Is this where I want my converted file to show up or is this referencing the file that I want to convert?

It's hard to answer your question without more info. What are you trying to do? If you're doing reskins, search this forum. There are tons of articles already posted that will greatly simplify your work.

If you just drag & drop the file you are looking to convert directly onto the serz application, it will place the converted file next to the original.

Even simpler, install TS-Tools and assign it as the default app for opening .bin files.
This way, double-clicking a .bin file will open it as xml text in the TS-Tools editor, where you can edit what you want, then it will serz it back to .bin when you save the file. No need to interact with serz.exe at all.

Additionally TSTools automatically makes a backup called .bak .bak1 and so forth in case you mess up or get a undesired result. When you finish making any and all changes you just go into the folder and delete them when you're done.

I went to Mike's web site and clicked on the link for TS Tools but nothing happened. Same result with all the other links too.

OK, That worked. Thank you.

Oh-Oh It installed OK but I got an error code 339, It says:

"Component: c1sizer.ocx or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered. A file is missing or invalid."

I did run the MW Graphics dependencies. c1sizer.ocx is present in the TS folder which I placed in the C drive, not C:Programs or Programs (x86). Any thoughts?

Run it as administration the first time and then it should be OK.

Can you tell me what header I should select to start this process?
