There was an update made to the 567 mod pack for the SD9, but if there’s a way to mod better sounds for the tunnel motors I’d love to hear about it.

How about linking it to the MLWAudio 16-645E3 sound?

What would be the steps to do that? I’ve got horns and bells pretty well figured out but I’m not sure how to alias the other sounds.

Here you can read this at your leisure. Just put this into:Assts\JL\Shasta\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\SD40

SD40 Engine Sound.zip

Don't forget to check the MLWAudio\16-645E3 box for the sound to work.

Noted on the SD40T-2s on the rear panel the classification and the numbers light switches work backward off is on and on is off. Bug report sent to DTG.

I misread your post and Yellowhead Pass is the same. I just opened up the AP file with 7zip and extracted the Assets folder and cut and pasted the particles folder into the Diesel folder.

I have just been and checked one or two diesel locos and some have the particle folder in the assets folder and some have it in the Railvehicles/Diesel folder actually most have it in the ap.assets folder. Check out Soldier Summit.

Doesn't matter really, what matters is that it is where the blueprint is expecting.
So if the blueprint refers to particles in Railvehicles/Diesel, but the files are actually in Assets, then there's a problem.

From Milepost Simulations 2/7/2022

"I have just submitted a patch to DTG to address the following minor issues I have become aware of with the Mount Shasta Line Route:
● Painted number added to back of SD9E
● Southern Pacific lettering now visable from SD9 Cabview
● On/Off switch positions fixed on back panal of SD40T-2 for number lighst/class lights
● Gyra Light control can now be turned off
● Terrain lowered under water in Klamath Falls to help address the flickering water issue.
Hopefully the patch will get put out soon."
EDIT: Switches patch released.

There is nothing wrong with the path. It does not matter if it is inside the Assets.ap, as the ap is transparent and not part of the file path.

I know. That's not what I mean.
I mean if the path is "Particles\Diesel_Exhaust.xml" but the file is not in "Particles", say it is instead in "Assets" (if there's such a folder) or anywhere else, then there's a problem. But you probably know that already.

The route itself is great. The locos are rather weak. I like SD40T-2 with L-shaped windows from the outside, but cab and sounds are very dated like made in 2007 .
p.s. is there a way to boost signals visibility at distance? i thought some config settings allow that

There have been postings previously here about how to update to a better sound.
