Regarding the missing BSNF units have meanwhile rcvd update from steam so all should work now.

Yeah, that one. It seems an incorrect build was pushed to steam according to DTG so it's probably there in the correct version.

Everything is fine here. Just ran the whole route and I really like it. Well done. I have to say I have never been there but I think they did a pretty good job of capturing the feel of the place.

Ran the entire route and my first impressions..

Ok let's get the bad things out of the way first....

1: Some areas have way too many trees. The inside of the Bealville horseshoe curve is normally a grazing meadow for cattle that has some trees there, but not even close to the amount they put on this route. Looks practically like an orchard in this sim. It does make the route look more pretty visually, but is way over the top at times.

2: The high-wide detectors for shifted loads going into the tunnels are missing.

3: Eastbounds approaching Edison will see a customer with tracks on the property, but there is no access to it due to no switch off the main to get to it.

4: The super big power poles are in places they don't belong. Especially up near tunnels 7 and 8.

5: The grades are all over the place. It shows 0% grade for eastbounds that pass summit for quite a ways. It goes downhill immediately after summit in real life. Part of this is the sim's fault.

6: I started quick drive in BNSF's Bakersfield yard and the entire yard was filled with nothing but UP locos and rolling stock. No BNSF stuff at all.

7: I tried to quick drive a 70-car SD60 lash up in Bakersfield yard and I kept getting an immediate physics explosion as soon as it loaded.

8: A little too green and lush looking. It's only green for a few months of the year and mostly tan colored the rest of it.

9: Could use more assets in certain areas.

10: What's with all the double yellow signals (Approach Diverging) and no diverging action after them?

There might be a few more, but those are my major ones.

Now for the good.....

They did a surprisingly good job on this route. The attention to detail was really good in a lot of places. There are certain spots on the route in real life where there is a lot of derailments and/or is a place where MOW crews leave boxes of track base plates, clips, rails, etc in certain spots for months or years. They actually modeled them on this route. A lot of track access roads were pretty accurate and the areas around Bakersfield are modeled well too. You do feel like you are there for sure. It definitely hurts your frame rate though.

Also.... it's modeled for modern times.....so all the new double tracking and siding extensions are there. !*brav*!

Overall at this time I'd give it an 8 out of 10. !!*ok*!!

To Kevin.....

Yes that water tank. It was hidden behind trees in the promo shots. !**duh*!!
EMD 2-strokes rule! My all time favorite: SD45X also love the SD40-2/SD40T-2/SD45-2/SD45T-2/DD35A/DDA40X/SD70ACe/SD80ACe

Yeah I got confused about all the yellos also. Don't know what that is all about. Haven't run anything except that one end to end QD so not sure if it's that way otherwise.

I’ve seen the double yellows for no apparent reason on other routes too, probably something weird in the base signal system?

Coming from across the Pond we have, as usual, no logo on the BNSF ES44AC (Assets/DTG/ES44AC_BNSF/RailVehicles/Diesel/ES44DC/BNSF/Engine/Textures/logo_BNSF.TGCPDX). I have utilised/"overwritten" with the Swoosh logo from GNTX Stevens Pass BNSF ES44DC but on looking at the feature on DTG's website I see that there is no logo on the BNSF ES44ACs in game shots.

Is this what you have in the US, or was this just setting the expections of the purchasers this side of the Pond.

DTG's licensing agreement with BNSF says that they are only allowed to use BNSF branding in the US. Everyone else gets unbranded stock.

In case you mean the industry (grain mill maybe?) with the many tanks or grain bins, the very first of the bigger complexes as one approaches from west, then Google Earth shows it without rail access in reality too. Also here: https://osm.org/go/TY46Nzzjd-

Well aware of that (been around in the sim since the very start of Rail Simulator when branding wasn't an issue - and I do say "as usual, no logo on the...") - my question was about what was being displayed on the website...and as we have no other images this side of the pond I was wondering what logo you actually had?

This is what I have...

Here is something that should be a accurate match for this loco. Just unzip and put into the ES44AC_BNSF Engine\Textures folder.
