Alright, I'm gonna be honest. The route doesn't look terrible. Some of the scenery actually looks pretty nice. There are some improvements to be made in areas, but overall not bad. Seems like they've been able to get most of the Southern California feel. Definitely is a much better attempt to do so than previously. The rolling stock, again, is nothing special I see. It is nice to see BNSF content again though. Seems like they may have worked out a deal with BNSF.

BNSF labeling will still only be available in the US.

BNSF will, however, not be available outside the US. Quote from the referenced article: "Note: The Tehachapi Pass route is available worldwide. Due to licensing restrictions, BNSF markings will appear only on content distributed to U. S. customers."

I suppose you would be the kind of person who says why haven't they got my house showing as I live just beside this route. Yes, people have said these kinds of things. Be thankful that you are getting something that resembles this route.

Wow. Really? I said it looked pretty nice. I'm sorry that I grew up in the area, know it well, and that I have an opinion that may not align with yours regarding a digital route. My comments were pretty mellow compared to previous takes on DTG content. Am I supposed to kiss DTG's butt every time they make stuff? Third party devs hate people like you. You buy half-assed DTG content and praise them to no end while we work months on content that is far superior. Why put any effort into things at this point...Why be thankful for this route when Marc has his representation. I suppose detail and accuracy is out of style.

"Tehachapi Pass coming to TS2021"

First of all, there HAS been a Tehachapi that was available for TS for a while. It was only now DTG is making their own rendition of the route.

They did a good attempt on that AC44. Still, I am disappointed with the lack of prototypical detail. The front handrail stanchions and horn model are completely wrong. I still give them credit for making high numberboards, which means this model is accurate for only certain versions of the UP AC44 like the C44AC-CTE. The 7100 series as shown on the preview I believe has low numberboards and pilot mounted ditch lights. DTG's attempt is representative of the later CTE versions with the high numberboards and deck mounted ditch lights.

Even in the screenshot I could see the step lights are on and illuminate the ground in Southern California''s broad daylight?

Means the scripting is still incomplete or wrong, or simply not turned off before posing the trains for these screenshots?

It didn't seem 3DTrains excellent SP assets were used, but at least one can decorate the 3D trains route with some of these assets.

I'll see how it looks when the route is released for sale. Esp the Bakersfield end. Will there be any oil fields and loading tracks for those tank train cars promised in another DLC?

There was no mention of SJVR, was there?

I am wondering if it is the same guy from 3DTrains built this route or DoveTail Games or other person built this route. Just curious to know.

Thank you,

John

This doesn't appear to be Marcs version.
