I picked this up today and overall I like it. A few comments after doing my first run with the Acela:

- Route: Well done overall, nicely detailed and the scenery looks good. I had some flashbacks to the many many hours I spent in MSTS driving back and forth between Washington and Philly on the NEC 3.1.
- Train: The Acela drove well and sounded good (though I am going to replace the horn/bell with a Searchlights Simulation K5LA + E-Bell). I haven't driven the pre-existing Acela in ages so I can't comment as to whether this new one has been changed at all but overall the driving experience was good.
- Scenarios: I ran scenario #1. On my first run I got a notification that an AI train had derailed. After restarting, my second run through did not have this issue. The scenarios do look to be interesting with some events sprinkled in to keep them from just being standard back and forth scenarios. However, the downside is that there's only five of them, and no scenarios are included for the MARC commuter services. Especially where the route is short it would have been nice to see a few more included. Hopefully this route will be a good canvas for our talented scenario creators and we'll see some more in the workshop. I'd be shocked if there isn't a DLC scenario pack in the works.

Overall I'm happy with my purchase, especially with the launch 15% discount. I rarely finish a scenario in a single sitting but with a route this length it holds my attention long enough to not have to save and restart so no complaints from me on the length.

Total aside, I must have been asleep at the switch because I only today realized that Raildriver has been supported in Train Simulator for a few years now. This was my first run with my Raildriver in TS2021 and it really helps drive the Acela smoothly! I'm slapping myself for using my keyboard for all these years.

Im not big on passenger stuff but DC to Balti is fantastic. The stock, is well the same ol same ol but the map itself looks great. A few skins and mods and this thing is cherry

I am curious to know who is the route builder of this route that just released now through Steam. All I just want to know who?

Thank you,

John

I'm not a passenger route kinda guy, but the scenery on this route looks really top notch. I'm impressed with density and balance of environmental objects in these shots. Well done! !!*ok*!!

Fan Railer has a physics and sound pack for the Acela, with recordings straight from the real thing. The pre-existing Acela has a stock steel bell and P3 which is just wrong...the stock HHP-8 has an accurate horn and bell

Thanks, is that pack working with this version of the Acela? Can it be downloaded here?

The scenery on this route is top notch. With the AP Weather Pack and RW Enhancer, this route definitely captures the feel of the area.

The Fan Railer pack only works with the standalone version but there are third party mods from the FB NEC Sim Dev group, with Brandon Reardon making a port of all the Fanrailer mods to the Amtrak equipment included: https://www.mediafire.com/file/8f7uvxum ... W9P7u9sn3E
