My intention is not only to create a fusion of the routes, but also to include corrections of the Mariaspass.
A very much extended distant terrain with the most possible viewing distance built in all 4 seasons is ready.
Track has been rebuilt between on the Flathead Bridge (pic), the end of two tracks east of Browning (pic) and Whitefish-West.
Speed announcements have been changed to BNSF (original on Mariaspass is UP!) via script and tracks have been changed to HiLine.
Still work in progress, as you get all roundings of grade changes destroyed, which have to be rebuilt in the editor.
A quickdrive with AI and stoppings by the AI is in work.

Shelby Signals (sorry, the correct type is not available on the MP+HiL) :

I intend to expand Whitefish West a little later in a second release.
Hope you will like it.

Kris,
Is your merging work related to Danny´s Workshop merging, released a couple days ago, or it is something different?

No worries because of this Searchlight Simulations upgrade, courtesy of Brandon Reardon on Facebook: http://www.mediafire.com/file/y4j5xyipk ... CdelCYVqSo

I made a copy of the HiLine folder and installed Brandon's update. I have the SS enhancements for the GP38 but now on the HUD the amps always read 000 with all throttle positions.

All I had to do was use the "i" key and the amps now show.

That's normal with all SS EPs as the engine run switch should be set to RUN in order to load up

If I may chime in here,

Kris' merged route is a seperate project that he has been working on for quite some time already. It will feature an almost completely new Marias Pass -- resignaled, with reassigned track types (concrete/wood ties where appropriate), changed and added lineside infrastructure, and the other scenery and visual improvements mentioned above.

Cheers!

Presumably the merged line will still need the DTG Marias Pass as a dependency.

Yes, unfortunately my project still will depend on the Mariaspass, as the Assets of the HiLine miss all the stations for example.
I could replace the turntable in Whitefish with the GN-model of the HiLine, too, but that would need an extra blueprint in VNHRR/HiLine.
I would like to avoid such modifications in the first version.

I like what you are saying here, Michael. With Kris120 work we are looking at a future merging release with an improved Marias Pass. !*drool*!

It is not unfortunate, at least for me. Marias Pass has been my prefered payware route since I got it five years ago. I know however, lots of worldwide players would like to have it. A long time ago, we suggested to DTG to release another Marias Pass without locos. Time has changed a little bit and a few routes have been released unbranded (as Chicago). It would be time to revisit this subject with DTG.
Thank you Kris for what you are doing with this project. :D !!*ok*!! !*brav*! !*brav*! !*brav*!

Kris, have you decided to bring this route mod and merging via Workshop or it will just be a RWA route (or other source)? Or yet not decided?

I agree with Jalsina. I have also raised this suggestion with DTG with sadly the usual non response. It seems to me a relatively easy release. I would pay for the route and none rolling stock assets, even better including the rolling stock assets minus logos as per The Racetrack but...... cannot buy what isn’t there. Well done Kris keep up the work, we live in hope that MP may arrive one day.

Would just want to add, If needed I can remove the version on workshop that I've done if you like (if a far better version is coming in the future, and the workshop one that I did probably won't be used anyway.).

Danny,
I have purchased the Montana Hi Line over the weekend. Christmas time tasks have not allowed me more than playing 15 minutes in the route, just on time to see that it is a great route as it is been Marias Pass.
I have not yet subscribed to your routes merging but I have heard very good comments about it and I will do in the coming days (or hours) as soon as I explore a little bit more the new Montana H L route.

A few days ago, I thought the merging was automatic, as it´s been in case of past route extensions, until I read the news of your release in Facebook. I think your merging is a must.
I want just to thank you for doing this job and releasing this workshop item so fast. !*brav*! !*brav*! !*brav*!

Maybe your ongoing work on the QD scenarios (always very hard to make) could be adapted as well to Kris120 work. Just an idea.

*!!thnx!!*

I think your work is valuable and needs to stay up. if Kris120 presents something down the road you can consider what you want to do but in the meantime I think your efforts have much value and is appreciated.

As long as it doesn't break any workshop scenarios, roll with it

I don't know why it would break any workshop scenarios. You now have (if you have them) three separate routes. Marias Pass, Montana HiLine, and wait for it............................Marias Pass and Montana HiLine route.
