I'm waiting to hear back from the fella that actually made that horn to see if he gives me permission to use it with the simple files to convert.

The easy fix is to swap the rs-1 horn onto the F units.

Anybody want to try this horn feel free. The three wav files go into:
JL\Wasatch\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\F7 folder

The F7 Horn Sound, the F7 Horn.proxybin. and the F7 Horn files all go into the Cab folder.

Making progress. Latest response from DTG on the river textures. Maybe they'll take this opportunity to fix other things as well?

Signal brightness has been improved.
Whistle fading has been improved.
Fixed an issue when braking with the reefer car.
Fixed an issue with smoke not chuffing when reversing.
Various scenery improvements and a few other small adjustments.
Update size: 59MB.

Wow, can't wait to check it out. That is really awesome that they came through and really did fix some of these issues. I already love the route but this will make it even better!

I opened up the AP file for no unknown reason and extracted the files and now the smoke puffs work in reverse.

Maybe just deleting pak files (blueprint cache) would have worked.

For what I can deduct from looking at the HUD, it stays all the time at maximum pressure value (300psi), which is not too realistic, but this mod seems to work pretty well, given the amount of issues of the Big Boy.
P.S.
The other problem I see is the black smoke, but it could happen that it gets grey after cleaning cache.
