!!howdy!!

Reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite movies.....
Throw me a bone here, people! I mean, all I ask for is some frickin' sharks [insert locos] with some frickin' laser beams on their heads! Now, what do we have....

You can really tell the difference, anyone want to do this with the US shots?

Possible looking at the rail then :D If so , then yes , it looks flat and square , it's a combination of hard edges on the mesh ( the " rail " is just a box ) , the new game lighting , and the camera angles used in taking the pic . It is what it is and not much can be done . Marc Nelsons ScaleRail should look much better in new game.

I never noticed the glare on the sd40-2 in the RW3 picture before. One thing that stands out to me is that you get a better feeling of depth with the stronger shadows. And it does seem that the "Distant Mountains" rendering starts a little too soon.

But the not so distant mountains look like something Bob Ross painted on with a fan brush. !*don-know!*

Made my day. !*roll-laugh*!
Even I know Bob Ross. This guy's painting skills are like magic: "Let's put a little green in here and here..." and he has made an absolutely stunning landscape. *!greengrin!*
You know, the Public Bavarian TV still brings "The Joy of Painting" from time to time in the night. He has become a real legend.

Another.

RW3 at the top, RW2 at the bottom. Don't like the mountains.. Just looks weird.. Big bright landscape, and mountains that are in an lunar eclipse shadow apparently.. Not getting it.

Not trashing.. Just making observations with a splash of personal opinion. Maybe my time is off? I have the shadows almost identical so time of day is generally in the same ballpark (imo) :)

I dunno styckx, the RW3 screenshots looks more realistic to me. It looks more like a photograph than anything else. Maybe it's just me?
