MRL for Buzz

Unread postby suzukisk » Sat Sep 14, 2019 3:15 pm

I have made my MRL version of the Searchlight SD40-2 available for anyone who wants it. This is based on the UP version so you must own it to copy all the geo files. I have cleaned out all the duplicate files to the best of my ability. All the geo files from the up version must be copied to this model. They are in the base folder as well as the engine and cabview folders. I did my best so enjoy it as is. It worked fine on my system after I copied everything over to test. Let me know if any problems but please be considerate of my efforts. If you do not like it just delete it. I hope everyone enjoys I originally did this one for Buzz who has given me encouragement and support on my projects. I felt I should share it now with everyone I hope Buzz agrees.

Hi suzukisk,
Animations on the roof are not working.
I have created a small patch, adding the animations and adopting the path of the blueprints, where necessary and doing a small cleanup.
Changed blueprints are with xml-files.
If you want to study the changes, run the script inside at last, it removes all xml-files, too.
Some googies included: Cabview (my special one), LocoInformation, QD-Consist.

@all: Read the file MRL-patch_2019-09-15_readme.txt before installation.

Question:
No numbers at the rear end are ok ?

Thanks a lot for your repaint
(sorry, no beloved MRL (Zawal) installed at the moment)

Kris

Which version of the Searchlight Simulations UP SD40-2 is the right one for this MRL repaint?

GPU EVGA GTX-1060 OC 6GB at 1920x1080, 144 Hz - Monitor ASUS VG-248QE

UP.JPG

I'm sure that was based on the model called just UP in the Searchlight file listing. Shown in the picture above.

Thank you for your answer, Pete.
This is one of the latest scheme SD40N versions (non-snoot).

Not SD40n Version and not snoot just UP should work. See highlighted folder in Pic.

MRL compare.jpg
To compare the MRL repaint is in the front and the UP is the middle unit. Note no A/c on the roof. The back unit is the UP SD40N unit showing an A/C unit over the cab. That is why I am sure I used the SD40-2 UP version. I hope this is helpful.

SD40N is the type it appears in the Searchlight Simulations store description for the UP (folder) unit.

The SD40N resides in the 'UPN' Folder

The UP SD40-2 shows in the pic by Suzukisk resides in the 'UP' folder
