Looks like we got a probable on throwing fate to the wind, and throwing out what we got so Pwelt can grab a Budd and go to Middletown. Since there is a platform there, I can do that. And remember folks "When you say Budd, you've said it all",

Lets go to tonight's shot

Excellent work as always! What I'd really love would be QDs set up between Hoboken and Suffern for NJ Transit service - with options to start at several (or ideally, all) of the stations along the way. I've spent a good amount of time setting up very basic Quick Drives just for myself to toot along the line with, but these are often lost or overwritten with new route updates.

If you're able to set these up so the user could start in either direction at, say, Hoboken, Secaucus, Rutherford, Plauderville, Ridgewood, Waldwick, and Suffern, it'd be a wonderful addition!

Mjlevy118, I don't think I can do station stop commands. I used to put "go via" orders from my runs. If that works for you, I can update the existing runs East and West. What you might really be asking for are some Qds with the go via the represent real stops. A cool one would be out to Waldwick and back to HB, for example. Keep talking to give me a better idea of what your looking for and perhaps share how you have done it.

I had my hour break post-work. And some fine Kentucky Bourbon ( Bulleit ) and I am about to get ready to expend 4 hours of my time to get us a little bit closer to a release tomorrow. I have couple of points of order. 1. I was advised by one of you guys that uhhhh: Minerman146: 10,608 hrs on record last played on Jun7 (yikes) 2. Im happy to do this. 3. This was NEVER going to be done by DTG.

Wow, Ten Thousand Hours! That's about right too, we got 5 years, 1 month and 6 days in workshop on steam and add another 2 months to that when we started. it takes a long time to build a route. I salute ALL of you guys - Tomcat, xxuntitledxx, Rudijaeger, Buzz and yes you too, Theteenagefoamer for not only being driven, but being very good at what you do, cuz you guys have been on this ride for years too. It all can be done - it just take TIME. I say this, that many times this gets hard to do, to keep going, being dedicated and testing my backups so I don't loose the whole thing. I keep going. I love doing it, I love the place and I love sharing it with you. I just knew this would never be done - my route- the New York Division. You would think a deeply historical 3000 mile class 1 that flamed out in the greatest railroad crisis this country has ever seen would have peaked some interest. But no. There is stuff I have put on this route that so historical and loaded with meaning in my hope that you will some day find it all. Some you it you can only get to in editor, but its there. What and honor it has been to build this. I hope I have been very respectful to not the just the railroads but to the people live have live here. I hope that comes across to you guys. And do or my non-North East living, European, Asian and South American fans out there, do know I did everything that I could to represent this place as it exists and existed. I want to say this too that while North Jersey is visually interesting, Orange County, New York is just absolutely beautiful. I did everything I could to capture that beauty.

Thanks to all of you for the encouragement and the appreciation that I humbly accept. So Let's Go Build Something Tonight!
and, of course, carry on !

AmericanSteam - this is what I love to see - the Dundee and all the Bergen themed rolling stock! Regarding the Dundee we did capture it before it finally died in the past year. Property Developers snapped up the land as the NYGL was arrears in property taxes. They are in the process of pulling the rail up. And the remnants of the NYGL equipment is located in Port Jervis and I believe another set is located in further to the North in, I think Callicoon, NY. I will ask Michael Stephan or perhaps I will take a stab at adding this GP18 as a standalone repaint so we can replicate the service.

Another point I would like to make is about the Norfolk Southern N-Line. I always wonder if in some way the work on the Bergen influences DTG. Don't get me wrong, I am obviously self centered. I swear that some of their foliage work close to the track looks a bit like my stuff. But more to the point is the description of the N-Line itself, lots of customers, a yard, lots of trees and very branch line like. This certainly sounds like much of the Bergen. What just dawned on me in the conversations over on the DTG thread for this route is the rolling stock is completely compatible with the Bergen. I really need center-beams! If you combine the freight and rolling stock with the Bergen - we got ourselves workshop scenarios for Norfolk Southern.

Description of Stock for the N-Line
Accompanying the Norfolk Southern N-Line route are three locomotives ideal and authentic for use on the route: NS EMD “hi-nose” and “low-nose” EMD GP38-2s and an NS EMD GP40-2. And the route also provides a variety of contemporary freight rolling stock including a three-bay covered hopper, aggregates hopper, center-beam flat, boxcar, and other modern equipment

Hey AmericanSteam - are there tank cars and covered hoppers on the N-Line? If so, this works!

So, was the N-Line built with a smidgen of regards to the Bergen? I don't know, but maybe!

MInerman, regarding your question as to rolling stock, what I have seen so far, covered hoppers, open hoppers, bulkhead flats, open gondolas, center beams, boxcars. If there is a tank car I haven't found it yet. I have begun the task of substitution of rolling stock and power. After running this for a while it is a good base route that can be "spruced up" a bit.
**EDIT** There are tanks.

Pelt, I love it when you use the resources I provide to communicate with you. I'm still putting in foliage since i got up this morning. I need a shower.

I fell asleep doing a test run last night about 11 o'clock I was in Middletown and dozed off when I woke up the train had rolled all the way from Middletown back to Campbell Hall. It was midnight when I woke up.
One of the remarkable things about just doing a run from Suffern to Middletown is that it's 40 miles long. And as you know the scenery is just absolutely beautiful.

American Steam if you stage the Rolling Stock from the N line in Suffern I bet it would look pretty good.

Hi Minerman, thanks for Middletown!

This is a small tribute I made to your amazing work:

Since I'm more into modern trains and stuff, this is a cab ride following Metro North train 53 from Hoboken to Middletown. It's a scenario which I have been creating and I hope to share on the workshop once the route is completed.
I hope you will like my effort to exibit the Bergen Line :D

Hey, no apologies needed for modern stuff! This is a Norfolk Sothern - New Jersey Transit route on the surface. During work today, I did have an opportunity to peek at your film a few times.. Firstly, it great to see the Bergen on a machine that can handle it, you brought out all the scenery. The opening 5 minutes where you create the context of the run, and where the train is starting, oh wow, that skyline. (yes, I built it, but it looks better when someone else takes the shot!). Then, its 1 hour and 45 minutes! Its everyone fine with spending almost two hours sitting in the cab and driving to Middletown? Most importantly, your got the traffic in, you hit the stops and you make the whole thing look good, which I very much appreciate.
!!*ok*!!
