Good news and bad news. Bad news, first version of Townsend is gone, something got messed up and I got frustrated, removed the yard, class one, everything. Good news, the new version of Townsend adds a few more miles of mainline. More farmland, higher speed limit out in the fields, and a second chance to do the town over again. Here's some in cab shots from the cab of a SW1500 as it takes its train towards (INSERT TOWN NAME, any Wisconsin-y sounding ideas?)_______ and the sawmill.

Pete-Ah Wabeno, nice little town, might use the indian word, Waubeno, so it's not the exact same as the real town

Arizonachris- That might work too, although my last name starts with Shi, so I'd feel a bit narcissistic naming it that

Such a shame. Too bad the line around Townsend doesn't go near White Lake elsewise I would suggest that.

hmmph....perhaps, but I like Waubeno too, cause it's based off a real place that's quite close to the place I'm basing me route off of. Drove through Wabeno last time I was "up north". Well maybe I'll have both, cause there's another town that needs naming yet. I'm actually starting to warm up to it. Waubeno and Shiville (I think it oughta be pronounced shi-vle, not shy and not the whole ville, makes it seem established and people stopped pronouncing it right) it is then.

and Pete, forgot to say this, but it's nice to have a fellow cheeshead around, I'm already using one of your depots, planning on using the other in Townsend, as the summer and fall excursions need places to load passengers!

It is fun to see your high quality work. Sure looks like "up north". This is crazy, but my Dad worked as a lumberjack near Wabeno for a few winters. One winter was at Sand Lake. Now there's a unique name . My logging railroad buried inside Tori's C&O Alleghany is inspired by my Dad's lumber work.

Yea, that's gonna happen to ya as a routebuilder. Been there, done that so many times they gave me the key to the city! The upside is, I have never "wiped and rebuilt" and ended up with anything less than "way better than last try!" I've reached "middle age" now with the COA... wishing I could go back and do it all over knowing what I know now.

Ah well, another day older, another day wiser. I became another [dreaded] year wiser yesterday. Well, older at least... we'll see if the wiser part follows. Keep up the good work and don't get too attached to anything you built yet.

Happy belated b-day Tori! Gosh, I didn't know, sorry, and I'm sure the wiser is quick on older's heels. but yeah, you're right, just gotta keep moving and not get too frustrated with any one part, my first part I finished uses all freeware, and now I'm using some AllAboard stuff. Wish I could go back and update it but I'm gonna leave good enough alone. At any rate, here's some shots of an SW 1500 switching out the Waubee Brewery in Waubeno. Only 40 foot boxcars and small switchers allowed back here, as anything longer will get some scrapes.

why thank you sir. Here's a little something to go along with the switching side of things. My first repaint ever! Made some Waubee brewery boxcars, for now I'm just pretending that they have been equipped with refridgeration units. There'll be some more Horn Lake Rail equipment to come too!
