I am going to reiterate what I have said several times before. There really is no need to unpack the .ap file, just open it (using rar, a zip prgoram, or whatever), and drag out the required file(s) - usually just the .Geo file(s). It doesnt change what is in the .ap file, but avoids duplication, extra disk usage, and confusion with what is in the folder

A list appears, and it says, in order
>Open
>Open with WinRAR
>Extract files
>Extract here
>Move to OneDrive
>Open With
>Send to
>Cut
>Copy
>Create Shortcut
>Delete
>Rename
>Properties

I don't know which one to do if any of them are correct.

To come to your defense GEAddict. The installation instructions don't appear to work. I tried installing several ways and the ET44AC doesn't show in a Scenario. You might contact the Site and have them give you detailed installation instructions.
Name: NS ET44AC

Installation: Open the LukRailAmerica folder and copy the ET44AC folder to: RailWorks\Assets\LukRailAmerica\Child

Open the RSC folder and copy the ET44AC folder to: RailWorks\Assets\RSC\PennCoal\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44AC
Copy the ES44_Default.GeoPcDx from RailWorks\Assets\RSC\PennCoal\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44AC\Default\Engine into RailWorks\Assets\RSC\PennCoal\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44AC\ET44AC\Engine

NOTE ! You need the Penn Coal Addon by RSC ( payware ).

Default model RSC

Repaint and Childobjects by LukRailAmerica Sim ©

When you install the LukRailAmerica Folder to Assets, it doesn't show LukeRailAmerica\Child. Just LukeAirAmerica in the Assets Folder. Maybe someone else would like to try to install and see if it works fore you.

If that’s all that is in the Luke folder checking the Luke folder should activate the child.

OK let's start at the beginning. One presumes you got the thing unzipped and have something that looks like this.
ET44AC.jpg

The only issue is if you do not have a LukRailAmerica folder the child object will not go into the proper place. If that is true you need to take the LukRailAmerica folder and put it into your Assets THEN go into it and make a new folder named Child. Then cut and paste the ET44AC folder into that. I think he was assuming that you already had a child folder inside the LukRailAmerica folder. I did because I had these plows already in there. Note the path and what this looks like. You may not have the plows.

Now you need to copy and paste the the ET44AC from the RSC section into the PennCoal\RailVehicles\Diesel\ES44AC folder. Again check the path to see that it looks like this. You should have something that looks like this:
RSC ET44AC into ES44AC.jpg

Now as per the instruction find the ES44_Default.GeoPcDx in the default Engine folder and copy and paste it into the ET44AC Engine folder.
Make sure and check off the LukRailAmerica child box in the Assets list and SHAZAM!

Except for the fact that I don't have any folders in my PennCoal folder. There's nothing there besides the .AP file and a BluePrints.PAK file.

You need to extract the folders from the .ap. I already said that.

How am I going to do that with WinRAR though? That's the one question I have left besides a couple others unrelated to this one.

Are you messing with us or are you really that lazy that you don't want to look it up and learn something?

I've already looked. Nothing came up. All I saw were people complaining about the .ap files messing up repaints and all that and how they're going to extract it. They DID say something about RW_Tools but nothing about WinRAR. Except I'm confused on is RW_Tools the Utilities application or is it separate?

Well we tried and that is what counts. He just needs to go download RWTools if he can't use anything else like 7Zip.
