Wheel Problems on a New Boxcar

Unread postby RailWanderer » Mon Feb 18, 2019 3:55 pm

I was wondering if anyone knows the fix for the wheel rotation problem shown in this video? All pivot points are aligned to objects and to world, I also made certain my numbers are right within the bogey and Wagon BPs. So, all heights and distances reflect what I have within 3ds Max. And yes, I designed on the Y axis and in meters of Max using the right window as my front view. Oh, and yes I have read the developer docs many times on this, both wagons and locomotives as they are different.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,
This is a common problem if you don't reset the transformation in Max.
Would you like to post 3DS Max screen shot showing pivot of the wheels?

Yah, we have done this many times using all sorts of Scale, Transform, Center to object, and Align to World with no good results.

Here's a top view too, just in case:

I also reset my Max UI and recreated the whole thing.

See the proper wheels alignment with respect to RGB arrows.
R - X axis
G - Y axis
B - Z axis

Yah, that's like preaching to the choir, and like I had said, if you would have read above,

So, that's no help at all, thanks for trying.
