+1 I agree.

We can do nothing but hoping for Marc to find the energy and motivation again to continue working on both Tehachapi for Railworks and Cheyenne for MSTS.

If I remember correctly, the track for Tehachapi is complete and in good working order, and unlikely to be extended on both ends as was requested.

When you've grown tired of running trains through empty deserts, you can keep yourself busy by placing scenery items from Donner Pass or any other DLC that has generic ATSF or SP items. *!!wink!!*

About 80% of the buildings are gray, having no painted color to them. There are no crossing sounds and some signals have no towers to support them. They just float above the track. These are not things the average simmer can fix. There are no scenarios included. Seems like more of an alpha route.

If the route will never be finished by Marc himself, no doubt the RWA community will start working on it.

You can swap the untextured buildings for other ones, you can add track and crossing sounds yourself (AFAIK, ScaleRail never came with sounds?) and I have put some SP signal cantilevers from Donner Pass under those floating signals at Tehachapi and Walong Loop lower. Take a good look at how things work in UP Sherman Hill and SP Donner Pass routes.

It takes some work, but you'll learn to master scenery and asset editing skills that will come in handy when editing bland default routes to your own liking.

That is what I'm hoping for. It will be great when finished, but I am 75 years old and won't be around forever. Here's hoping it gets done soon. !!jabber!!

I am going to take my best shot at making it great! I have a little experience with the editor. Thanks.

Cut the guy some slack, everyone needs a break every now and then. He is also no Facing Point Media and likely a guy who has become sick of the editor after a few bad couple editing sessions where something has gone terribly wrong and can literally break a man. If this is the case, I can relate having been on a roll over the holidays only to find a large chunk of my route missing track one night for no reason, no missing assets and no errors. Long story short, after many frustrating attempts to find what was wrong and restore what was no longer there I threw away most of two weeks of hard work and restored from a backup and have not touched the editor since. Having done some further reading out of anger it does appear there are some bugs with the 64bit editor which have been recently been acknowledged and apparently a fix is in the works per DTG_Daniel's post on the Steam Forums per the below. It is probably better he isn't wasting his time working on something which may not be there tomorrow as I found out till this is fixed.

"The 64-Bit editor has a chance of corrupting your route. It won't happen every time so some users may never experience it."

"An update to the game should be available later this month to address the issues with the 64-Bit editor. Until this is available we recommend creating regular backups of any custom content you are using with the 64-Bit editor so if such an issue occurs you can revert to the backup."

I worked on the city of Tehachapi last night. Changed most of the buildings and put in the signal tower. It wasn't as hard as I thought. Water tower is from the BLE route.

Come on! I think I paid 30 bucks at the beginning.

Two rounds of beer will cost more than that in Midtown.

Stop crying in your beer and maybe buy the man another round.

Whatever the problem, a beer can't hurt. *!twisted!*

C'mon Edwin, this is a PAYWARE route, it's not for anyone other than him to finish anything, legally, or, morally, we've all paid Marc to complete the job, just because a few impatient buggers can't wait until Marc is better from his illness, or, whatever, nobody knows what the problem is yet, you can't bury him whilst he's still alive.
I'm sat at home as a Cancer patient, I've far more important issues in life to worry about, just because a few kids can't bloody wait then everyone else has to suffer, we've ALL paid our money, I've never read so much crap in all my life, about time some of you lot went outside into the fresh air and thought how lucky you are not to have serious troubles in life compared to others, this isn't the end of the world it's only a computer game, get some perspective in life and grow up. I've reported this thread to Bob now and I hope he locks it stop all the stupid and innane comments until we know some facts, if Buzz stated that Marc is having some downtime, then, so be it.

Cheerz. Steve.
