Yes, that is how I started out the process of making these trolley poles. I found that system works well for power poles but not so well when you need straight wires. There must be more steps in getting straight trolley wire to work then what is in that tutorial.

Well I found out that in the information on Gantry building on the TS2019 Document's page simply dosn't work. I tried the steps word for word and all I get is the gantry name in the editor. The models won't show so there must be more to the process then they are telling us.

The good news is I think I found another way just by using lofts...more testing is needed.

Ok, The Double Tracked Trolley Wire is complete. Now all I need is some king of helper or tension poles.

I started adding the new trolley poles to the route. When the Laurel Line was build in 1903 the city of Wilkes-Barre officials said no way to an exposed 3rd rail running through their city. So all the Laurel Line's right of way within the Wilkes-Barre city limits were powered by overhead trolley wire. Now on to wiring the L&WV Wilkes-Barre Yard.

It looks like I'm at a stand still for a little while. I was finishing up stringing trolley wire when graphics card went poof! Hopefully I can find a replacement tomorrow...The one day of the year that I don't want to go out!

As luck would have it...I found that hooking my monitor into the mother board I can still you my computer! This will keep me afloat until I get a new graphics cards, or find out what the problem is with my old one.

Now that the graphics card issue is behind me, It's time to get back to work. I've wired the rest of the Wilkes-Barre Yard. I have a few more poles to add. Later on tonight I'll be releasing my trolley wire and pole pack. Here is a look at the W-B Yard. I'm glad the Scranton yard has third rail! Running trolley wire of rail yards can be a bit tedious.

Wow, that was a fight! Every time I thought I was finished, I found wires that were out of place and I found myself re-making big sections of trolley wire. Now I believe it's all done and I can move on.

This is what is next. Plans are to finish the buildings around the Wilkes-Barre L&WV Yard. There were five industries that the Laurel Line serviced. The old freight depot was leased out to the meat packing companies on either side of the depot. The map below shows the buildings that will be made. Two of the buildings are done and will be available soon for download. The picture is an aerial view from 1959. By then the Laurel Line passenger service had stopped but the freight service continued. I believe at this time the L&WV passenger station was being used as a taxi service company.

Here is the new and improved Thomas C. Thomas Produce Distribution Building. This building was built in 1948. This company was a major shipper on the Laurel Line. Frequent car loads of produce and vegetables where delivered to this site. Since the Laurel Line had no cold storage the produce was set for immediate delivery. While the building still stands today it is used for local government storage. This building will be available for download very soon.
