Narrow Gauge Tankers ready for RWA - Packages 4 and 5

Unread postby QcRail » Wed Aug 15, 2018 9:27 am

Indeed we already have the Shell Oil, the GRAMPS Oil and the Colorado & Southern packages in the RWA Library. !!*ok*!!

Now, are two new packages : 1) the Tidewater Oil Co. known as the «Flying A» and 2) its other holding, the Associated oil Co. Logos and lettering are as close to its historical tankers of the pre-WWII era.

Already up-loaded, should be available soon !*YAAA*!

Excellent work as always! These, along with the other tank car repaints make a nice addition to the CC route. Thank you for doing these repaints for the community!

Hi mate...

Are you planning on a public release of this "reimaged" version, because that would be FANTASTIC **!!bow!!**

I only work on it when I’ve got nothing else to do.... so far, I’ve removed a lot of out-of-period buildings and every vehicle....much, much more to do, and, no timetable to finish. So, to answer, probably never..... some screenshots might appear here though.... Sorry.

QcRail, thanks for these, and your previous work.

I wondered if you would be releasing the storage tanks that you have shown in your pictures (both the rusting horizontal tanks and the large main storage tanks) as scenery items?

Thanks for asking. It may not be possible! I have to do a check as I often tweak the shape files for my personnal use. In the case of the horizontal reservoir, I did alter the shape file (.GeoPcDx) - the 16 element matrix for scale and the texture file address. Therefore I cannot re-distribute the asset as such.

If you are interested in going further, may I suggest that you contact the original creator and ask for permission to distribute the model's shape file.

Understood. One way around that is to distribute the texture patches and set out the edits that were made to the .Geo file(s) Matrix etc

Would you mind identifying the actual assets used, which would be helpful

Thanks

Why don't you just contact the route author? I have yet to ask about using a asset from anyone that they didn't say "heck yes go ahead."

I'm not sure what the assets are, or even if the large holding tanks are with this route. I don't remember seeing them anywhere (in any shape or size) . . . that's why I'm asking QcRail if he could identify which assets they are!
