V&TRR 2-6-0 Mogul

Unread postby GutoNicolucci » Sat Mar 31, 2018 10:46 am

Hello people,
For several weeks I've been working on that, just with the process of exporting and scripting. And this also includes all the animation process, all done in 3Ds.

This model is owned by Trainz Forge (thanks to Daniel Gollery), kindly allowed the model to work on Railworks (TS2018). It has been very rewarding, although there are flaws in the animations (something I have not completely mastered at the moment), it's pretty good and at least it works.

To finish the first version, I need to include sounds, particles and a view of the interior of the cabin. It has all the wheels excited and even the bell, but the internal gears are not animated, maybe I'll find out soon enough. I'm having a very special help from a programmer friend so this work is completed, although it may still take a while, this is my first, the idea is that I can make other steam engines for Railworks, including Trainz Forge models.

Below are some pictures of the model on my TS2018:

It looks beautiful, does not it?

I hope it works out!

In the future will you please post the photos here and not an outside place that is covered with scantily clad women? We don't need to see that with our trains. Nor do the kids here.

It looks great! This'll be an excellent companion to Smokebox's 4-4-0s.

I would love to see that in TS even if the animations don't get totally sorted out, heck even as a static model ...

I am thrilled to see additional early steam in the works. Then I see the poster currently has 6 posts. I know the animation and scripting takes a lot of patience. I am going to curb my enthusiasm until I see more progress. Meanwhile the very best of wishes!

Incredible, I can't wait to take this for a run.

I can't wait to see what the cab interior will look like.

Looks similar to Casey Jones engine 201.

Hello fellows,

the process continues ...

You will see some parts that are part of the distribution attached to the shaft are the only moving parts that will not be animated (until I figure out how to do this successfully).

I also want to show the cab interior as it is, we will certainly have the inner view during the simulation, but ... All the taps and levers will not have animations (this I know to cheer up lol, but it is necessary to export the cab interior with other files I need to create the scripts .xml bin .lua etc ...

Notice that the cabin is very bright, I will adjust the intensity.

However, the machine works perfectly, just to finalize the particles and sounds (I believe the sooner I start working on it) and later I'll make it available anyway.

Below the images, the parts of the distribution on the shaft, and the cab interior:

The Cab Interior could be dulled down a bit and made more of a flat green paint, but man am I drooling over the detail of the model. !*drool*!
