Update today

Unread postby buzz456 » Thu Jan 18, 2018 10:20 am

Gosh I'm so thrilled. I'm getting a update of my Chinese language addition to my game this morning.

We're on build 61.4b, Steam downloaded 712.4 MB, wonder what surprises await me ....

Apparently China is a market now?
BTW completely new character set (only when and if DTG dares to go the whole way in) means even more bloated .xml files of each and every asset, scenario, etc., or are only core menus etc affected?
ZH is traditional Chinese.

hey are having a sale on TSW and the TSW GP40. With no improvement to the core game issues I still think I'll wait.

Core game issues are what they are.

Meaning they are going to leave them like with the Kuju core issues? I was going to upgrade my video card too but the prices inflated and that's not possible now. Will a Geforce 760 be able to handle TSW?

Hard to say. They have been optimizing it pretty well. The 700 series is pretty old tech, now, and the X60 models were never very powerful. 970s are fairly inexpensive now, and probably the sweet spot. It’s what I use. I run TSW very well with the 970. I have a 2500K at 4.4ghz, and CPU speed does seem to matter.

What’s your CPU?

I have a 970 also and it runs just fine.

Yeah, both CPU and GPU might be a bit on the underpowered side. But, they have been optimizing it pretty well. Too bad there's not a demo or something (although it is on sale right now).

@AmericanSteam: Very generous offer. You could sell that card for a lot of money right now. Those crazy crypto-currency miners are buying up every 900-1000 series card they can get for silly prices. Put it on ebay and you'll make a nice penny.

I realize that, but I would like these items to go to someone here who is struggling to play TS and who is on a limited budget. I did however add a caveat that in the event these items can not be used that they be passed on in the same manner.

Adding Chinese also means DTG is legally bound to offer support to Chinese customers, including those that aren't fluent in English? So Chinese capable staff is needed at DTG's?
