I didnt think it was possible to mix tenders with engines of different makers... I need to investigate.

It does work. Results may vary however

While I believe it is possible, as demonstrated, you then get the issue of texture / colour miss-match. Black is not always black *!!wink!!*
Will have to see when the times comes I guess. At worst, maybe one of Dicks tenders can be completely re-skinned as a stand alone B&LE tender.

Hey Rick, a couple friends of mine were poking through the manuals for the B&LE route and brought up an interesting point. According to them, the standard practice for semaphore signals was for a clear (green) aspect to have the signal blade facing straight up, an approach (yellow) aspect to have the signal blade at a 45 degree upfacing angle, and a stop aspect to have the signal blade horizontal. It appears as if you've set up the route with the same style signal Southern Pacific used. Just wondering if this is correct?

This is the sort of signal that seems to be more common type of semaphore:

I have found two photos in Kenneth Springirth’s “Bessemer and Lake Erie” book showing both upward and downward arcing [quadrant] semaphore arms.....

[Edited to be less confrontational...sry.]

Many thanks to Scott Woods, President of the Greenville Railroad Park, for scanning a 1925 B&LE Employee Timetable. You can download it here:

Thank you Scott Woods! I was having a terrible time trying to make out the blurred timetable from Page 368 of the “Official Guide of 1921” and translate it into something readable and usable. Thanks Harry!

We're using lower-quadrant signals on the B&LE. In Stop position the blade is straight out, just like an upper-quadrant signal. For Clear it points downward.

Just checked: None of the screen shots in the B&LE gallery show signals. I'll provide something later, but probably not today.

ps. I think you'll like the way the blades "bounce!"

Actually there is one. It appears to be a lower quadrant gantry semaphore.

Thanks for keeping us updated !*salute*!

This will be the first all encompassing route that will have the capacity to "legitimately" bring in other add-ons, namely Dicks USRA locos. NYC, Nickel Plate, B&O & Erie all ran USRA locos (time for some new tender roadnames *!!wink!!* ) and we already have PRR K4's from Horseshoe Curve, not to mention his steel making add-on set. I am just dreading having to populate the route with AI and non AI traffic *!lol!* So much trackage...

Patiently waiting....

**!!bow!!**

!*cheers*!

ps: nice switch stand, but where is the switch? !**conf**!
