RSC SW1500Pack01

I was gifted with this engine by a friend. Needed it for some scenarios I wanted to run. Great little engine so far, except for one detail. If the scenario is at night, Dispatch needs to issue you a set of night-vision googles, due to the fact this engine has no visible projected headlights. They light up on the model itself. I wouldn't complain too much, but the SW1500 in Marias Pass has a working headlight, and their both produce by the same folks, RSC (AKA, DTG). I don't know if this occurs just with myself, or if it is the entire package. Tried the lighting upgrade available here, and it didn't work. As I'm fairly new to TS, 6 months, I am just learning the ropes. I would like there to be a cure for the headlights, but I haven't found one on the internet yet. Been playing with these trains since MSTS hit the street, and I know what to do for most problems there, but at a loss with TS 2018. **!!bang!!**

When I did the Adriana County repaints, I found that the stand-alone SW1500s did not have several effects that are present in the Marias Pass version. The lack of rain effects was a bit of a disappointment. Really a shame as it's otherwise a nice engine. I don't think there's any way we, the end users, can fix it. It'd have to go back to the builders, I believe.

You may check to see if flares are enabled in your TS. That did change some lighting issues on some of my Steam Sounds Supreme engines. I don't know if it'll help here, though.

Best,

I agree, check to make sure flares are enabled in your in-game settings. Sometimes this is needed to see the light being projected.

OK I got the RSC one to throw light. Is it the RSC BN that you are wishing to get it to throw light out there? Do you have the Marias Pass one?

I've got the Marias Pass one, also the Donner Pass one. Both of those work just fine. It's the RSC pack that is misbehaving, lol. Unfortunately, it appears to be something DTG's needs to address. I've tried the light mod from here, didn't work.
