This route has so many possibilities... Reskinners can have a real field day with this.

On my list as a “Must Buy”!
Lots of potential in this route..... AND finally, a proper setting for the NKP Berkshire!
Another playground for some of my Dick Cowen toys as well...... maybe, a PRR or NYC that’s lost it’s way.....

WOW!!!! The screen shots are pure delight. We will have Lakers on the water (wonder if we could have those flatboat in motion like the traffic on roads??? )

... Yes Reskinners, start researching as the era is not exclusively 1920s it can span easily to steam-diesel transition period - lots of fun awaiting.
... Now I have to search for potential early-TOFC for this region and era !*brav*!

I will note, QcRail, that the Portland Terminal route has moving sailboats which, to my knowledge, can be placed like a traffic ribbon.

Just observing, but does this pic look odd to anybody but me?

I would have thought the loco's would have been the same colour as the hoppers. Maybe we can have a whip round and get Rick some black for his Paintshop !*roll-laugh*!

Looking forward to this immensely

....

But then if they're black, they won't match the ore hoppers which from what I read the BLE painted a rust color so the ore wouldn't stain them and cause constant repainting. Besides, grey is a good natural color of hard working locomotives that might have once been black. !*roll-laugh*!

Edit: Forgot to post, In all seriousness by what photo's I've seen on the internet, all their engines appear to be grey. Now that could also be because they are black and white photos and the engines are weathered. Here is an example.

I was thinking the same thing. Nice black and graphite with road dust weathering. Either way I'm excited!

Grey.....
Black.....

I wouldn’t dare volunteer someone, but, Buzz (& XDriver) did a fantastic job on the “Weathered Berkshires”.

http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... e-repaints

I don’t even use the default because his are so much better.

May be..... we can talk him into taking a stab at these two (2-10-2 and 0-6-0) when the time comes........

There were some really nice K4 repaints too if I remember correctly. So, this is fixable......

Probably THE most important question, can we be patient for the next 5 months or so, or will we foam ourselves into exhaustion !*roll-laugh*! While I am soooo happy for the announcement, DTG have never covered themselves in glory when it comes to 3rd party add-on releases, always seeming to drag their feet and then still end up having to issue up[dates. Makes you wonder what their QA get up to :D

I for one has started an advent calendar and am patiently, if not a little foamy, marking off the days *!lol!*

!*drool*!

!*cheers*!

I'm probably out of school but Rick swore he would never do another release through DTG after all of the adventures with the Nor Sac route. We shall see.
