UPDATE: no pics, but the exterior body is very close to being done. I cant smooth the whole thing over in 3ds max now, which leads me to believe my old computer cant hack the rendering process when its time so I will be buying some new hardware for my computer. After about a week or so I should have it and in place to assist in manufacturing this beast of polys. It stands as my most detailed loco and I do plan to have it in TSW at some point if they ever roll out the editor.

I am still working on it just so you all know.

Finally got my new processor installed and it works enough on my old motherboard to render some shots on 3dsmax. In fact I am buying a new motherboard to optimize the new processor so I will be ready to finish this up. Its sad at half power its twice as fast as my old one. I just got an AMD fx 8370 8 core(not the latest and greatest obviously) and its awesome even at half the power and totally reaosnable price. More detailing on the loco so far and I expect this t orapidly finish once I get the rest of my hardware in...more coming

I'd like to point something out for the benefit of Ian.

The exhaust stack and the radiators are a little too high. Maybe 1/3 or 1/2 down would make it look more prototypical.

Actually Zek, it's correct for the up model. The demos or others will have to be changed accordingly. CSX is the only one I know of that had to be specifically lowered for tunnel clearences.

False, all subsequent models recieved the correction after they found CSX had issues for uniformity of productions sake.

It is number dependent. Some have square box, every new one has came with the tapered box.
