Thanks for the research. All 3 are interesting period tankers; and all 3 are tank platform on a truck chassis pulling a shorty tank trailer.

I was thinking more in line of a semi-tank trailer that could serve with your already produced cabs or that could be loaded as a TOFC. I have come across a few photos but did not search far as I more focused with various dry van schemes (... and there is an endless list available !*hp*! )

Al least the question is raised and I would be interested by other train-simmers. Of your 3 expl. I have a preference with the Chevron type; seems more versatile.

Thanks, QcRail

Let's stay on topic please, this thread is for my progress on some assets I'm building for the Big Sky route, it's a modern route so if you want me to do another classic asset I'll do it outside of the route to place on my website, since not a lot of ancient trucks will fit on the route since most of them will be far too old for it.

I'll do those assets as side projects, but they will have to be placed at the bottom of the list for a little while.

...Cheers...

Also found this cab over Chevron fuel truck, although it looks like it's more from the mid to late 80's. I remember seeing these things all over Southern California when I was growing up.

Finally, found this PIE Peterbilt tank truck. Guessing it's from the 60's.

By the time frame of the Big Sky route most of these trucks probably wouldn't be used anymore, but could always use some research off of real buildings and such on the Big Sky in Montana, perhaps Columbus, Lakeview, Billings and the other towns that will be featured on the route.

If you find a building however please also leave the address for where it's found.

A new building for the route, it's found in Columbus just past the old Columbus Depot.

Redid the building some.

Now I think it looks much better and I can't wait to see it on the route.

Tomorrow I'll start working on the depot for Columbus.

The new station is now in the sim and about to send to Buzz.

I had to make all textures from scratch, except for the siding.

Ended up not being able to convert my other station, so I built the entire structure from scratch.

Probably will build these next, a couple cabins further west Old U.S 10 in Columbus, it's seen right from the tracks so I think these would be interesting to see on the route.

Columbus Simple Cabins.jpg

As for the truck, perhaps my 66 C10 model will fit that bill pretty well.

Also will be doing this style of grain silo for the route as well.
