Looking at clouds

With the hard drive on which I have TS17 and TSW installed sneaking toward the full mark, I've noticed that the biggest space hog is OneDrive. Can this be transferred to another hard drive? For that matter, is there really any good reason to keep a full copy of this on any hard drive? After all, isn't the purpose of a cloud drive that of storing files somewhere other than on hard drives? Finally, if removing this copy of OneDrive from my hard drive makes sense, how is it done?

It is quite possible to have the files only in the cloud and access them through the web interface or another protocol such as Webdav.
The local client is a convenience. It lets you access the files locally, syncing them in the background as needed. This is much quicker and easier to use. This also lets you use your files even without a network connection.
And of course, most people balk at having the only copy of their files on a cloud. What if you lose your account, are the victim of a hacker, forget to renew your subscription?
This said, if you're willing to take the risk, you can deactivate syncing and delete the local files.
