Made Scenario; Experiencing Game Crashes and Missing Items

Unread postby ET44C4 » Tue Jul 25, 2017 10:50 am

I made a large free roam scenario which included a large chunk of DLC. It is on the Marias Pass route and the settings are: Time 8:30 am, Season: Autumn, Weather: 3D Cloudy. When I loaded the scenario up, it was incredibly laggy (probably the amount of locomotives and rolling stock caused this) and I also noticed that most locomotives were invisible except decals and interiors. The route also had a few missing textures for some trees and buildings that I knew were there before. After a short period of trying to figure things out, the game crashed with this message:

When I closed the program down, I decided to go back in and clear the cache. Once completed, I shut my PC down. When I got back in the game today, I decided to see if anything worked any better than it did yesterday. Apparently, the missing textures for the trees and buildings seems to be fixed, but now some power lines have missing textures. The track seemed fine as well because it was missing some details yesterday. The lag was the same so I decided to try and change the season and see if it would help, but unfortunately when I tried to change the season the game crashed. I went back into the game and went straight to the scenario editor and I got to the point where I changed the season, but the game crashed (with the message shown above) when I tried to save the changes.

I have no clue why the game is acting so strange with this scenario. Maybe someone might be able to explain why these things seem to be occurring? !*don-know!*

I would also like to add the fact that the scenario no longer loads and that the game crashes with the same message that is shown above.

I don't know how much memory you have in your computer (RAM) but it sounds like you are exceeding what you have with what you have loaded.

6G of RAM
I'm sure you're right about running out of memory. 6 gigs just wont cut it.

Thank you for the information. !!*ok*!!

That would probably be it. Memory is pretty inexpensive nowadays. I know you are thinking about upgrading several things. Going to 16G of memory will be like night and day in performance assuming your machine will be OK with that.

Yes, I probably should make that investment. After just having the problem once again as of this post, I makes me think more about making those needed upgrades. !!*ok*!!
