Kind of ironic that this comes out as Hunter Harrison 're-makes' CSX into who knows what.

Excited? If nothing else it was a bit of a surprise to see an update start a little while ago, but I have not been paying much attention the past several weeks. Free repaints are nice, so thank you to the folks at DTG for that. I'll have to rummage around a bit later on today to see what issues still remain.

I'll be excited, possibly, when route buildings tools are made available. Very curious to see how the engine will handle distant terrain and how easy/hard it will be to create new terrain textures... well, the list of what I would like to see is a mile long, all in good time I suppose and until that time TS2017 will be the order of the day.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on that one, though, it is nice to see new repaints since it means more variety in consists.

Here are the items addressed in the Bright Future Update (Build #70):

Build 70 New Features

CSX YN2 “Bright Future” paint scheme variants added for each locomotive – see here for more details.
Service Mode and Scenarios Updated to incorporate the new paint scheme variants.

Save/Load

Fixed the issue with Save/Load on the Clear Cut scenario.

General

Removed the cube from beneath the Autorack Freight Car.
A number of Key Rebinding System fixes as per customer feedback.
Updated the AC4400CW Bell audio to match animation.
Changed all “elephant” style consists to back-to-back.
All single-loco consist have been updated to include a back-to-back pair at the front.
Baltimore-bound and originating services have been updated so that they now use single-stack cars.

---------------
I haven't played the game in weeks.

How are the physics perceived now, after many updates?
Are the brakes working as they should? I.e. if you pull a pin on a moving train, does it go into emergency now?
Does the EOTD not vanish anymore?

I haven't played in weeks either. I did a quick run and pulled a pin on a moving train about 6 cars back and it did not go into emergency. I restarted the service and then tried flipping the EOTD Emergency switch in the cab after getting up to 20mph and it did go into emergency. I'm far from an expert but it seemed very wrong to be able to move the train 15 seconds after resetting the switch and releasing the brakes. If one of the real life drivers chime in here and share their thoughts it will be enlightening and possibly depressing, all I can say is that it doesn't seem right to me. I didn't have the energy to look at anything else.

Looks fantastic! The YN2 liveries will always be my favorite CSX paint scheme. Wonder if the stuttering issue has been fixed. Can anyone confirm?

STutter, still when an AI is getting ready to pass you. Still get that white flash across the screen occaisionally also.

Still having issues with some of the "fixed" items. There is a fix posted in TSW forums for the external camera and the arrow keys. I did this and the external camera works as it should. Go to %userprofile%\MyGames\TS2Prototype\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEdit and delete the file "input.ini" It will rebuild when you start the game. This should be located in your system drive documents. It was for me even though TSW is on a dedicated drive.

Me too, even on SSD. Seems the game is moving things around in memory every once in a while, causing the occasional tearing or white flash.

Thanks for reporting on the stuttering issue. I hope they figure it out eventually.

Noted with this release that on some passing AI stuttering has been reduced. Auto racks, coal and double stacks are better now but I am still having severe stuttering ( 3 2-3 second stutters about 20-30 seconds before AI passes) with manifest consists. Also noted that clarity of the scenery seems to have improved (maybe just my perception). I have been playing with everything on maximum with FRs set to 90. I have been adjusting the colors within NVIDIA control panel to reduce a washed out appearance during mid-day scenarios. Hoping for the throttle issues, EODT and the GP38 cab sound issues are solved soon. Also noted an improvement in the braking. Good work DTG keep chipping away.
