Foggy autumn

Unread postby OldProf » Thu Apr 13, 2017 3:30 pm

I ran a service recently (don't ask me which one, since once a scenario or service starts, its name never appears again on any screen, running, paused, resuming, etc.) for which I'd selected Autumn Mist, which sounds more like a perfume than anything else). Here are some interesting things I saw:

What really intrigued me in the 2nd and 3rd image are the track-side puddles.

What really upset me was the perpetual red signal that stopped me not very far along the way.

What's intriguing you about the trackside puddles, Tom, they've been there since day 1 ????

It's the first time I'd seen them -- okay? -- and they impressed me as emblems of greater realism in TSW as opposed to TS.

There are trackside puddles on the Lafayette Route. I know because I put them there. There are some on the Ann Arbor also as I recall.

And plenty of "puddles" on the Bergen Line.

What would impress me is if those puddles only appear during "wet" weather and are absent during "dry" weather.

Hmmm, well, if it's the first time you'd seen them Tom, then, yes I can appreciate the impression they gave you, however, as our learned friends have since added very succintly, TS also has puddles as well, it must be a different type of rain, we're English, we're very good at making up weather excuses on our Railway systems..... !*roll-laugh*!

Being from Missouri, I'll only believe in 2017 puddles after I've been shown some. I've put up TSW puddles, the rest of you only words.

Sheesh! This place is beginning to look a lot like TrainSim.

No it's not. We are being polite and not demeaning each other.
