Wow Blender can do all that? Give me about 2 weeks of tutorials and I might have a red "standard" C.... !!howdy!!

That right there is sketchup. A real good program for making buildings in, but not so easy for making trains in.

The best way to progress up the skill ladder is to start with scenery, which is easier for a beginner and work yourself up to rolling stock, the same way I'm having to do it. Yes, I would like to make a full locomotive with full 3d cab, but I had to start out at scenery like everyone else.

The pattern goes Scenery, Animated Scenery, Train car, Train car with 3d cab, and then locomotive.
