The Jungle (MAW Edition)

Just realized "The Jungle" is the name of this section of the forums, haha...

The Maumee and Western (MAW) in Northwestern Ohio. This railroad only runs whenever they get cars and feel like tempting fate. It takes the crews on average 3 days to cover 15 miles since they have multiple derailments per trip and the speed limit is only 5 mph. You can see why... Amazing this railroad is even in business...

I'd bet it costs them a lot more to fix the derailments than it would to fix that track. I can't imagine even trying to pull one car, let alone a consist, on track like that! Gimme a break! Inexcusable. !*not-ok*!

Wow, how does FRA allow them to run? I mean, a guy at each crossing to stop traffic because the signals don't work? And an engine with "Operation Lifesaver" painted on the side? Wow, just, wow. !**duh*!!

I think the FRA has given up on the MAW. Or at least that's what I heard when I asked around about this... lets say unique railroad.
