MRL 50ft

Unread postby mainecentral250 » Sun Jun 12, 2016 4:28 pm

I have just downloaded the MRL 50ft box car. Ran the installer, checked the box in the fly out - it showed up in the list but when I tried to put it on the tracks - no show - no couplers - nothing at all. Am I doing something wrong??

Do you have the 50' plate b car that it is based off of? Doesn't sound like you do.

Sounds like that's the problem. It works fine here.

I'm seeing nothing at all. I have many repaints of the plateB and plateC but the FEC, SOU, and this MRL do not show up.

Is there a way to tell if one of the other repaints is overwriting those three?

Why would anything be doing that? You need to learn about file structure and go look in the file and see what's there. This is not rocket science. Go look in MainLines\RailVehicles\Freight\Boxcars and see if the MRL one is listed there. Then look in there to see if the FMC50B.GeoPcDx is in there. If it is you need to make sure the Mainlines folder is checked and that you are looking in the right place for the car. It's with the other FMC cars.

Indeed I have already looked.
It is listed, as are the other repaints, among those are Digirails, Army, MDW, pretty much all of the packs from the file library.
The Geo is inside there.
The asset box is checked and the other skins do show up when I place them in the editor or view cars in the quick drive consist editor.
MRL, SOU, and FEC are the only ones that do not.

When I try to place those three in the editor there is no "click", no model attached to the cursor, the only thing that shows up is the name of the car in the list.

Everything is identical to what I have. The last two files being Trucktex.TgPcDx which is 44kb and TrucktexAO.TgPcDx which is 172kb.

The plateB SOU with the black arrow won't show up but the plateC at the red arrow does.

Just D/L it after I saw this. I wonder where Larry is and whether he can shed any light on this.

I'll take a look at this. Are the offending cars Plate B or Plate C and are they auto-numbered or not.

Plate B and I think they are the auto-numbered ones.
