Markers Problem

Unread postby Shortliner » Fri May 13, 2011 9:34 pm

So I'm having a problem with markers on my route, I can place them and on sidings, I can stretch them out to cover the length of the siding, However, I can't edit the name or delete them, and I can't re-select the destination marker once I place it.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Are you in scenario edit mode and try to change markers that were setup in route editor? That won't work. And deleting markers is never a very wise idea in my experience, has somehow they survive sometimes in the .bin files and can corrupt scenarios afterwards, even if they aren't used anymore.
In route editor I had them sometimes unselectable, but jumping to a far away distance (current tile + 2, so that one is in between) and back helped or changing the view point. Close up from above always seemed to help.

I am in scenario edit mode, and so far I have no scenario using this one marker (destination), so I'm not worried about deleting them. My problem is that they don't show up once I place them, in scenario edit mode or in route editor mode. Also, restarting the sim doesn't help either. This is an ongoing problem.

I have a similar problem in scenario edit mode. I can place a marker and stretch the end posts but the red center post does not show up, therefore I cannot name it or delete it. Also, the switch operator circles were not showing up in either the editor or the play mode. When I clicked on 'Tools>Display' in the upper left corner in the editor and then examined the properties panel in the upper right corner, I discovered that many (most) items were unchecked! Most importantly, the manual junctions and track markers. After re-checking them all, everything worked as it should. That's the good news! The bad news is that everytime I re-load RailWorks, I find that the same items are reset to 'unchecked'! When they are unchecked, they are unchecked in EVERY scenario. I have validated the RailWorks files on Steam, cleared the blueprint cache, and re-booted the computer. Nothing seems to help.

Are you guys experiencing this also?
