I was completely unaware of this. Thanks!

Update: I loaded it up, and its not showing in any list. It seems like this model was designed for RS, could it be that it needs to be converted for RW?

Bill, what a fantastic looking engine! It looks a bit like a box-shaped steam engine, I suppose the designers at that engine's builders were working with steamers before. *!!wink!!*

Did some of you try the beta version of the doodlebug? I've received an email about it (or something else in my SteamEra assets) causing a 'NonSerialized BIN' error, but I can't replicate it here on my PC. Is this error more widespread?

(Download link again: http://www.humyo.com/FFYgFYd/Public/Moo ... AWFjBDsa-w )

Thanks for your help!

Cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael, I was the one who sent that email last night. Whenever I select SteamEra I will that error message and RW will crash (not even SBHH). If I remember correctly the Doodle is the only object in that folder, but I will check again.

Hawk, I am not certain about how backwards compatible RS objects are with RW. For me its been hit and miss. I think RW_Tools has an option to do some sort of conversion so I will try that out.

Hi,

For all those who are having trouble with the first beta of the doodlebug, please try the new package for this engine.

All info is here: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=2097

Thanks!

Down loaded the new version. Is this a error at my side?

That happens when one of the child objects fails to load; most of the time that's because not all the right boxes got ticked when you were adding the vehicle to the scenario, but it might be that there is an actual bug. Try ticking both the Kuju Railsimulator+RailsimulatorUS boxes, and perhaps all the GreatNortherner ones to be sure.

It's even got antennae!

Did we ever work out articulated stock? I have a few ideas but I've never actually tried them.

Dick Cowen did some interesting things with his shays. I think he made the last articulated section a tender. There are post here on RWA where he talks about it (you'll have to week through them, there are a lot).

Hi,

Soon... I'm busy with the trucks/couplers/physics/... updates to the existing rolling stock packs. But I'll get around to adding the cab, some time.

BTW! Somebody asked about a repaint, please feel free to do so, but please don't forget that this is not the final version of the model. So I may change the mapping if need be and your repaint would not work on the newer versions of the model. Also, for the final release of this doodlebug I'll do two Montana Western versions of it, one as pictured above, one with zebra-striped front, and also the original GN version.

Cheers,
Michael
