I think it is safe to say the all of Amtraks AEM-7s are now retired. Unless anyone has other information regarding Amtrak 946, I think there all gone folks... :(

I may have gotten word from an ACS-64 engineer in Trenton that 927 and 948 were the only remaining units.

Wow - it seems to have happened incredibly fast.

On a bit of a tangent - is the MARC HHP-8 the last of its kind as well?

From Video evidence a couple days ago the 942 and the 946 were the last ones i have seen on youtube. I saw a video 2 days ago about the 942 says that is was possibly that motors last run, therefore leaving the 946. I havn't heard word on the 927 or 948

Sorry, I should have added an 's to that. As far as I know, they still have their original handful until the Chargers come in.

The AEM-7 Is no more! Today marked it's offical last run by amtrak. Knowing this i will upload a old video of what they are Generally remembered for tomorrow.

Was lucky enough to go on the farewell run of the aem7 trip that Amtrak put on and wow it was amazing.
