Thoughts about UP 844 returning, also 3985, and 4014 restoration

Hearing that the UP's Steam Shop will have 844 running sometime during mid of this year. I personally think it will be cool to see 844 when it will run again on the CFD train. But for the other steam locos, 3985 I heard wont run for a very long time, because 4014 is a much bigger priority than 3985. So since that, 3985 is holded off for restoration. 4014 on the other hand, has begun with the restoration already for quite some time. From an article someone told me at a train show, 4014 was to be fully restored by 2020. I will have to goto the Cheyenne Depot Days to see what is going on.

We both do.Being eastern railfans blocks us from a 20 minute drive to visit the giants of the west,literally.Also since the NS steam program is going down.And hearing 765 maybe going west? We'll have to go west anyway to get some steam this year.Oh wait the western maryland scenic has C&O 1309

It's unknown about 765, they should still do steam in the valley and maybe go to Owasso, MI.
