Was this an Eastbound? I was under the impression that the GP60M units were happily working a second life in LA local service. I hope these 2 are still in service!

That freakin' consist. What's the one at the front? And what's with all the cool stuff on the train?
Hadnt snowed in about 5 weeks, and where there had been 4-6 feet, was bare ground. There were a few patches but nothing like the previous year. Anyway, was a great trip, funds went to a great cause, and who knows, maybe next year...
I am happy with that one too; probably one of the best I have taken in the past few years. Was hard work though. Long trip from Oz, then 3+ hour drive north from Albuquerque to Alamosa and then up at 3.15am so we could be on the road by 4.15 for the drive to Antonito for a 5.30am departure. Ferguson is about 35 mins rail journey and we had to be in place for a 6.19am sunrise. We did a couple in the pre-dawn light, then the sun hit and it was stunning and by 6.30 it had been obscured by cloud. The luckiest I have been in forever
