My Kanawha worked fine in Railworks 2015. Steam automatically installed 2016 a few days ago. I'm not sure if it installed properly. It installed in a milli-second. There used to be advertising when starting a scenario or something. Now there is only a black screen until the scenario starts. This is not really a problem 'cause I don't care about the ads anyway but I wonder if I got the full installation.
My most important problem is that The KANAWHA (v2) does not work with the keyboard. It works with the mouse. Other engines seem to be fine. The Gtrax Berkshires work fine. I have tried deleting and re-installing both versions of the KANAWHA with no luck. Should I re-install 2016? If so how do I do it? Steam says I already have it.
If it installed in a milisecond you did not get the install. The small(free) one is 322 gigs. As far as fixing the Kanawha I can't do anything about looking at that until tonight. Work interferes with hobby.

railduffer wrote:Thanks Buzz. First how can I re-download it. There is nowhere on Steam that I can find a way. It says I already have it. I don't believe it.
Try going to Steam Library and see if it says TS-2016 and ready to play. If it does right click on it and tell it to play game. If it's not all there it should start a download I think.
I'll check on the locomotive in a bit.

Did you go look at the folder? There are no .ap files associated with mine because I got them from G-Trax however, if you bought them as a DLC from DTG or RSC or whatever they were calling themselves at the time there may be a .ap involved that may have wiped your Berkshire file. Do you know how to check that?

Thanks Buzz. No I do not know how to check for an ap. file. I do have RW Tools, but I do not know how to check for a file that might affect the Kanawah.
Go into your railworks assets folder go down the list to G-Trax\Trains\RailVehicles\Steam. There might be a .ap there or open it and look in the Berkshire folder and see if there is one there. If not there should be a Default a NKP765 and a Kanawha. Let me know what you find.
